The purpose of the Suor Prah towers 12 of them placed in front of the two Terraces, is currently unknown. Their modern name means "towers of the rope dancers", which doesn't make much sense. Although they are some sort of shrines, they don't correspond to the normal style of Khmer shrines.

IMG_2034.Royal.Palace.ponds * These two ponds are part of the Royal Palace area. The closest pond is for women, the farther is for men and it's smaller, since every man in the court had right to many concubines.
So one might wonder: we are in the City of Kings, Where is the Royal Palace?
