This is one of many Kezuna ropes, especially made with the hair of female devotees who wished for the success of the halls' reconstruction in 1895.
As normal rope, at that time, was of lower quality, hair was preferred. The hair ropes were used for transporting and hanging the huge beams which you can see today in the main framework of the two main halls.
