Comment: In the Imperial Rome, at today's Piazza Navona site the Stadium of Domitian (1st century a.D) was located, and the piazza follows exactly its original plan.
Next time I'll talk about Piazza Navona, when decent photos of it can be done, anyway the Domitian stadium was used to host greek athletic games, horse and music games, and even smaller scale reproductions of glorious roman naval battles.
